BABY & ME—Tobacco Free Program™

The BABY & ME—Tobacco Free Program™ helps pregnant women quit smoking and stay tobacco free. Quitting smoking can decrease the chances of baby being born early and having a low birth weight. The BABY & ME – Tobacco Free Program™:

  • Has no age restriction
  • Is a free public service
  • Requires no income eligible
  • Provides a monthly diaper voucher for up to year, if proven to be smoke free

How the Program Works

The BABY & ME – Tobacco Free Program™ provides one-on-one counseling sessions to women who are pregnant and current smokers. Eligible women who enroll:

  • Attend four prenatal counseling sessions to receive education and support for quitting smoking
  • Agree to take a carbon monoxide (CO) breath test at each session
  • May receive their first two diaper vouchers at prenatal session 3 and 4, if tested as tobacco free
  • Return monthly after baby is born to continue carbon monoxide monitoring and education
  • Receive a diaper voucher each month, if proven tobacco free
