Historic Preservation Zoning District
Tanglewood is a Historic Preservation Zoning Overlay district. Any new construction including additions, demolitions, relocation of structures, or renovation of any contributing structure is reviewed by the MHZC prior to beginning the project.
Tanglewood become a Historic Preservation District in Spring 2009. With houses built between 1932 and 1946, the Tanglewood Historic District is the only known example of Robert Condra’s designs for a residential neighborhood comprised of detached dwellings in Nashville. The area contains approximately 12 properties.
