Metro Action Commission (MAC) is a Community Action Agency, focused on anti-poverty initiatives. The primary responsibility of MAC is to assist residents of Davidson County in moving out of poverty through the various programs they administer.

The Nashville Financial Empowerment Center provides free one-on-one financial counseling to Nashvillians. At locations citywide, professional counselors provide guidance on issues such as prioritizing, managing and paying down debts, opening safe and affordable bank accounts, building healthy credit and creating budgeting and payment plans that facilitate savings.
