Training and Exercises

An educated and trained citizenry is the best defense in any emergency preparedness response and recovery strategy. The Mayor's Office of Emergency Management can provide you with a wide range of educational opportunities that are available to the general public and first responders, health and safety personnel at the local, state and federal levels. Some of the training programs are restricted to certain groups, such as government employees and public safety personnel, while others are open to the general public. In this section you will find a comprehensive list of disaster preparedness training opportunities that are offered at various times throughout the year.

Exercise participants

Emergency exercises are an integral part of the emergency management cycle, and its important toensure all different agencies are aware of exercises being conducted. The OEM keeps tracks of exercisesconducted within the county to ensure that collaboration and communication exist across agencies.

If there are any exercises scheduled for the future, they will be listed here. Please note that just becausethey are listed doesn't mean they are open for anyone to participate.
