Bill BL2020-361

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer manholes, fire hydrant assembly and easements, and to accept new public sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer manholes, fire hydrant assembly and easements for property located at 7114 Charlotte Pike (MWS Project Nos. 19-SL-200 and 20-WL-47 and Proposal No. 2020M-054ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 358 linear feet of existing eight inch sanitary sewer main, two sanitary sewer manholes, one fire hydrant assembly and easements, and the acceptance of approximately 443 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), four sanitary sewer manholes, one fire hydrant assembly and easements, for property located at 7114 Charlotte Pike, are needed to construct project numbers 19-SL-200 and 20 WL-47; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2020M 054ES-001 on June 16, 2020, for the abandonment and acceptance of said public sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer manholes, fire hydrant assemblies, and easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 358 linear feet of existing eight inch sanitary sewer main, two sanitary sewer manholes, one fire hydrant assembly and easements, and to accept approximately 443 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), four sanitary sewer manholes, one fire hydrant assembly and easements, for property located at 7114 Charlotte Pike, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
