Bill BL2019-1482

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer manholes and easements and to accept new sanitary sewer and water mains, sanitary sewer manholes, a fire hydrant assembly and easements, for properties located at 950 Brittany Park, 0 Bell Road and 0 Blue Hole Road (MWS Project Nos. 16-WL-141and 16-SL-210 and Proposal No. 2019M-002ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 765 linear feet of existing eight inch sanitary sewer main, four sanitary sewer manholes and easements, and the acceptance of approximately 674 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 102 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 455 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), five sanitary sewer manholes, one fire hydrant assembly and easements, for properties located at 950 Brittany Park, 0 Bell Road and 0 Blue Hole Road, are needed to construct project numbers 16-WL-141and 16-SL-210; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No.2019M 002ES-001, on December 4, 2018, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sanitary sewer and water mains, sanitary sewer manholes, a fire hydrant assembly and easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 765 linear feet of existing eight inch sanitary sewer main, four sanitary sewer manholes and easements, and to accept approximately 674 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 102 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 455 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), five sanitary sewer manholes, one fire hydrant assembly and easements, for properties located at 950 Brittany Park, 0 Bell Road and 0 Blue Hole Road, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
