Bill BL2018-1340

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing combined sewer main and to accept new sewer mains and sewer manholes for property located at 109 29th Avenue North (MWS Project No. 18-SL-98 and Proposal No. 2018M-058ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 65 linear feet of existing 10 inch combined sewer main (VCP), and the acceptance of approximately 26 linear feet of new 10 inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 39 linear feet of new 30 inch combined sewer main (RCP), one sanitary sewer manhole, and two combined sewer manholes, for property located at 109 29th Avenue North, are needed to construct project number 18-SL-98; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2018M 058ES-001 on August 16, 2018, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sewer mains and sewer manholes.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 65 linear feet of existing 10 inch combined sewer main (VCP), and to accept approximately 26 linear feet of new 10 inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 39 linear feet of new 30 inch combined sewer main (RCP), one sanitary sewer manhole, and two combined sewer manholes, for property located at 109 29th Avenue North as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
