Bill BL2019-1496

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to accept new water main, sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer manholes, fire hydrant assemblies and easements, for 11 properties located along Cane Ridge Road and Preston Road (MWS Project Nos. 18-SL-37 and 18-WL-24 and Proposal No. 2019M-008ES-001).

WHEREAS, the acceptance of approximately 6,763 linear feet of new 12 inch water main (DIP), approximately 2,054 linear feet of new 10 inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 1,497 linear feet of new 10 inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 1,374 linear feet of new 12 inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 501 linear feet of new 12 inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), 15 fire hydrant assemblies, 24 sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for 11 properties located along Cane Ridge Road and Preston Road, are needed to construct project numbers 18-SL-37 and 18-WL-24; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2019M 008ES-001 on December 11, 2018, for the acceptance of said water and sewer mains, fire hydrant assemblies, sanitary sewer manholes and easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to accept approximately 6,763 linear feet of new 12 inch water main (DIP), approximately 2,054 linear feet of new 10 inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 1,497 linear feet of new 10 inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 1,374 linear feet of new 12 inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 501 linear feet of new 12 inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), 15 fire hydrant assemblies, 24 sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for properties located along Cane Ridge Road and Preston Road, as shown on Exhibits 1 and 2, which are attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
