An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer manholes and easements and to accept new public sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer manholes and easements for four properties located on Spruce Street and 21st Avenue North (MWS Project No. 18-SL-203 and Proposal No. 2019M-025ES-001).
WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 326 linear feet of existing 18 inch sanitary sewer main, four sanitary sewer manholes and easements, and the acceptance of approximately 414 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 126 linear feet of new 18 inch sanitary sewer main (RCP), seven sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for properties located at 608 and 615 Spruce Street, and 610 and 21st Ave North (unnumbered), are needed to construct project number 18-SL-203; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2019M 025ES-001 on February 22, 2019, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer manholes and easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 326 linear feet of existing 18 inch sanitary sewer main, four sanitary sewer manholes and easements, and to accept approximately 414 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 126 linear feet of new 18 inch sanitary sewer main (RCP), seven sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for properties located at 608 and 615 Spruce Street, and 610 and 21st Ave North (unnumbered), as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
