Bill BL2018-1221

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing sanitary sewer main and easement and to accept new sanitary sewer and water mains, fire hydrants, sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for six properties located on Lebanon Pike and Walcott Drive (MWS Project Nos. 17-WL-232 and 17-SL-232 and Proposal No. 2018M-039ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 100 linear feet of existing eight inch sanitary sewer main and easements, and the acceptance of approximately 1,634 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 1,107 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 1,341 linear feet of new eight inch water main, approximately 1,063 linear feet of new six inch water main, three fire hydrants, 20 sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for six properties located on Lebanon Pike and Walcott Drive, are needed to construct project numbers 17-WL-232 and 17-SL-232; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2018M 039ES-001 on April 19, 2018, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sanitary sewer and water mains, fire hydrants, sanitary sewer manholes and easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 100 linear feet of existing eight inch sanitary sewer main and easements, and to accept approximately 1,634 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), approximately 1,107 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), approximately 1,341 linear feet of new eight inch water main, approximately 1,063 linear feet of new six inch water main, three fire hydrants, 20 sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for six properties located on Lebanon Pike and Walcott Drive, as shown on Exhibits 1 and 2, which are attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
