Bill BL2018-1339

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing water mains, sanitary sewer main, one sanitary sewer manhole and any associated easements for various properties located on Charlotte Pike and Rodney Drive (MWS Project Nos. 17-WL-233 and 17-SL-233 and Proposal No. 2018M-061ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 80 linear feet of six inch water main, approximately 262 linear feet of one and a quarter inch water main, approximately 130 linear feet of eight inch sanitary sewer main, one sanitary sewer manhole and any associated easements, for various properties located on Charlotte Pike and Rodney Drive, are needed to construct project numbers 17-WL-233 and 17-SL-233; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2018M 061ES-001, on September 6, 2018, for the abandonment of said water mains, sewer mains, sanitary sewer manhole, and easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 80 linear feet of six inch water main, approximately 262 linear feet of one and a quarter inch water main, approximately 130 linear feet of eight inch sanitary sewer main, one sanitary sewer manhole and any associated easements, for various properties located on Charlotte Pike and Rodney Drive, as shown on Exhibits 1 and 2, which are attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
