Bill BL2019-1717

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing water main and to accept new water main, a fire hydrant assembly and sanitary sewer manholes for property located at 1500 Charlotte Avenue (MWS Project Nos. 18-SL-51 and 18-WL-75 and Proposal No. 2019M-033ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 63 linear feet of existing water main, and the acceptance of approximately 17 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), one fire hydrant assembly and two sanitary sewer manholes, for property located at 1500 Charlotte Avenue, are needed to construct project numbers 18-SL-51 and 18-WL-75; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2019M 033ES-001 on April 12, 2019, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water main, a fire hydrant assembly, and sanitary sewer manholes.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 63 linear feet of existing water main, and to accept approximately 17 linear feet of new eight inch water main (DIP), one fire hydrant assembly and two sanitary sewer manholes, for property located at 1500 Charlotte Avenue, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
