Bill BL2019-1554

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing water main and easement and to accept the relocation of a fire hydrant assembly, a new fire hydrant and easement for property located at 4101 Charlotte Avenue (MWS Project No. 18-WL-214 and Proposal No. 2019M-019ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 157 linear feet of existing six inch water main and easement, and the acceptance of a relocated fire hydrant assembly, one new fire hydrant and easement, for property located at 4101 Charlotte Avenue, are needed to construct project number 18-WL-214; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2019M 019ES-001 on February 5, 2019, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water main, fire hydrants and easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 157 linear feet of existing six inch water main and easement, and to accept a relocated fire hydrant assembly, one new fire hydrant and easement, for property located at 4101 Charlotte Avenue, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
