Bill BL2018-1105

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing water line and to accept new water line and a fire hydrant for properties located at 161 and 165 Rains Avenue (MWS Project No. 17-WL-196 and Proposal No. 2018M-005ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 1,000 linear feet of existing two inch water line and the acceptance of approximately 1,000 linear feet of new eight inch water line and a fire hydrant, for properties located at 161 and165 Rains Avenue, are needed to construct project number 17-WL-196; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2018M 005ES-001 on January 3, 2018, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water lines and fire hydrant.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 1,000 linear feet of existing two inch water line, and to accept approximately 1,000 linear feet of new eight inch water line and a fire hydrant, for properties located at 161 and165 Rains Avenue, as shown on Exhibit 1 which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
