Bill BL2019-1556

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing water main and easement and to accept new water main and easement for property located at 900 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard (MWS Project No. 18-WL-190 and Proposal No. 2019M-020ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 98 linear feet of existing six inch water main and easement, and the acceptance of approximately 104 linear feet of new six inch water main (DIP) and easement, for property located at 900 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard, are needed to construct project number 18-WL-190; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2019M 020ES-001 on February 5, 2019, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water mains and easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 98 linear feet of existing six inch water main and easement, and to accept approximately 104 linear feet of new six inch water main (DIP) and easement, for property located at 900 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
