Resolution RS2020-507

A resolution approving a Resident Clinical Fellow Education agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) residents and clinical fellows to experience training in the Metropolitan Public Health Department’s Tuberculosis Elimination Program.

WHEREAS, it is to the mutual benefit of Vanderbilt University Medical Center and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide VUMC residents and clinical fellows training in the Metropolitan Public Health Department’s Tuberculosis Elimination Program; and,

WHEREAS, Vanderbilt University Medical Center and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, have entered into a Resident Clinical Fellow Education agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein, to provide VUMC residents and clinical fellows training in the Metropolitan Public Health Department’s Tuberculosis Elimination Program; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Resident Clinical Fellow Education agreement between Vanderbilt University Medical Center and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide VUMC residents and clinical fellows training in the Metropolitan Public Health Department’s Tuberculosis Elimination Program, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
