Resolution RS2020-471

A resolution approving amendment one to an intergovernmental agreement by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation (TDOT), and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Department of Public Works, for intersection improvements on Nolensville Pike from McNally Drive to Natchez Court.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Department of Public Works, previously entered into an intergovernmental agreement with TDOT, for intersection improvements on Nolensville Pike from McNally Drive to Natchez Court approved by RS2019-135; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement because TDOT did not sign the original amendment one approved by RS2020-189, but instead issued a new amendment one, which deletes Exhibit A in its entirety and replaces it with a new Exhibit A, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the intergovernmental agreement, by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Public Works Department, for intersection improvements on Nolensville Pike from McNally Drive to Natchez Court, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
