Resolution RS2020-465

A resolution approving amendment two to a Youth Development Center Grant  from the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Public Library, to improve community adults’ (out-of-school-time educators, families, and school staff) readiness to support positive child/youth development and cultivate safe environments in the lives of children/youth.  

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Public Library, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration to improve community adults’ (out-of-school-time educators, families, and school staff) readiness to support positive child/youth development and cultivate safe environments in the lives of children/youth approved by RS2019-1555; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $18,656.00 from $329,577.00 to $348,233.00, a copy of which amendment two is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment two be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment two to the grant by and between the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Public Library, to improve community adults’ (out-of-school-time educators, families, and school staff) readiness to support positive child/youth development and cultivate safe environments in the lives of children/youth, a copy of which amendment two is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
