Resolution RS2019-1835

A resolution designating as park property the parcel to be acquired pursuant to Resolution No. RS2019-1800.

WHEREAS, Resolution No. RS2019-1800, if approved, would authorize the acquisition of an approximately 106.8-acre tract (Metro Parcel ID No. 10200000500; the “Property”) of real property in Bells Bend; and

WHEREAS, the Property should be used only for park, recreation, and open space purposes; and

WHEREAS, designating the Property for management, supervision and control by the Metropolitan Department of Parks and Recreation is in the best interest of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Property is hereby designated for use as park, recreation, and open space purposes.

Section 2. The Property shall be managed, supervised, and controlled by the Metropolitan Department of Parks and Recreation.

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
