Resolution RS2018-1490

A resolution to approve an intergovernmental agreement between the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the acceptance of the Hillwood Boulevard Bridge Rehabilitation over CSX RR and Richland Creek L.M. 0.09, PIN 107669.00, Federal Project No. BHZ-9312(80), State Project No. 19960-2519-94.

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee acting through its Department of Transportation (TDOT) plans to construct Federal Project No. BHZ-9312(80), State Project No. 19960-2519-94, Hillwood Boulevard Bridge Rehabilitation over CSX RR and Richland Creek L.M. 0.09, and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County agrees to cooperate with TDOT as described in said agreement, attached hereto as Exhibits A and incorporated herein by reference, so that said construction can occur; and,

WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 12-9-104(n)(2)(b), authorizes the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to approve an agreement with TDOT by resolution; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the interest of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County this construction be carried out on Federal Project No. BHZ-9312(80), State Project No. 19960-2519-94.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the agreement with TDOT, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby approved, and that the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
