Resolution RS2019-64

A resolution accepting a grant from the Dorothy Cate and Thomas F. Frist Foundation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Nashville Social Services Commission, Metro Homeless Impact Division, to benefit the How’s Nashville Program.

WHEREAS, the Dorothy Cate and Thomas F. Frist Foundation has awarded a grant in the amount of $10,000.00 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Nashville Social Services Commission, Metro Homeless Impact Division, to benefit the How’s Nashville Program; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the grant in the amount of $10,000.00 from the Dorothy Cate and Thomas F. Frist Foundation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Nashville Social Services Commission, Homeless Impact Division, to benefit the How’s Nashville Program, a copy of which is attached hereto, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the Metropolitan Nashville Social Services Commission, Homeless Impact Division, is hereby authorized to accept this grant for its use and benefit.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
