Resolution RS2020-446

A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Arts Commission, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Arts Commission, for funding to non-profit organizations to nurture artists, arts organizations, and arts supporters in Davidson County.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Arts Commission, previously entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Arts Commission, for funding to non-profit organizations to nurture artists, arts organizations, and arts supporters in Davidson County approved by RS2020-274; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to reduce the amount of the grant award by $14,820.00 for a new grant total of $34,560.00 and to reduce the required cash match by $14,820.00 for a new required cash match of $34,560.00, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Arts Commission, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Arts Commission, for funding to non-profit organizations to nurture artists, arts organizations, and arts supporters in Davidson Country, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
