Resolution RS2020-218

A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Children’s Services, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Juvenile Court, to provide state supplemental juvenile court improvement funds to employ a youth services officer.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Juvenile Court, previously entered into a grant contract with the State of Tennessee, Department of Children’s Services, to provide state supplemental juvenile court improvement funds to employ a youth services officer approved by RS2019-1757; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant contract by deleting Attachment B in its entirety and replacing with a new Attachment B to establish that the grant funds shall be allocated for travel, conference, and meeting expenses, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Children’s Services, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Juvenile Court, to provide state supplemental juvenile court improvement funds to employ a youth services officer, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
