Resolution RS2019-1634 (as amended)

A resolution accepting a grant from Tumbl Trak and American Gymnast for equipment and Flip Fest Gymnastics Camp and USAG TN Gymnastics for monetary awards to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, to establish a gymnastics program at the Madison Recreation Center.

WHEREAS, Tumbl Trak, American Gymnast, Flip Fest Gymnastics Camp, and USAG TN Gymnastics have awarded a grant of equipment and monetary awards, with an estimated value not to exceed $5,924.00 with no cash match required, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, to establish a gymnastics program at the Madison Recreation Center; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the grant by and between Tumbl Trak, American Gymnast, Flip Fest Gymnastics Camp, and USAG TN Gymnastics, with an estimated value not to exceed $5,924.00, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, to establish a gymnastics program at the Madison Recreation Center, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Metropolitan Nashville Parks Department based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
