Resolution RS2020-343

A resolution accepting a grant package from the Friends of Two Rivers Mansion to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department, to provide partial funding for one administrative support person and funding for two part-time employees to conduct historic tours during June, July, and August, and the Christmas 2020 season at Two Rivers Mansion.

WHEREAS, The Friends of Two Rivers Mansion have awarded a grant package in an amount not to exceed $24,521.83 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department, a copy of which grant package is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant package be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the grant package by and between The Friends of Two Rivers Mansion, in an amount not to exceed $24,521.83, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department, to provide partial funding for one administrative support person and funding for two part-time employees to conduct historic tours during June, July, and August, and the Christmas 2020 season at Two Rivers Mansion, a copy of which package is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant package be appropriated to the Parks and Recreation Department.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
