Resolution RS2019-1587
A resolution approving Amendment Five to a contract with Vanderbilt University Medical Center and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to participate as a member site in the Centers for Disease Control Tuberculosis Epidemiologic Studies Consortium studies.
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a contract agreement with Vanderbilt University Medical Center to participate as a member site in the Centers for Disease Control Tuberculosis Epidemiologic Studies Consortium studies approved by RS2012-452; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the contract by increasing the contract amount by $77,117.00 from $406,719.00 to $483,836.00 and extending the end date of the contract to September 28, 2019, a copy of which amendment five is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment five be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment five to the contract by and between Vanderbilt University Medical Center and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to participate as a member site in the Centers for Disease Control Tuberculosis Epidemiologic Studies Consortium studies, a copy of which amendment five is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
