Resolution RS2019-63

A resolution approving a grant agreement of the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) grant between the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Metropolitan Social Services Department Homeless Impact Division, to contribute to the national effort to end homelessness.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council previously approved the attached grant agreement by resolution RS2019-42 to the benefit of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission Homeless Impact Division, to receive a grant from HUD of $150,000.00 to support HMIS; and,
WHEREAS, the accompanying resolution (RS2019-42) mistakenly included reference to an unrelated agency; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the grant to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission Homeless Impact Division, to receive a grant of $150,000.00, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Metropolitan Social Services Commission, based upon revenues estimated to be received.
Section 3. That the Grant Agreement between HUD and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission, attached hereto, is hereby approved and accepted.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
