Resolution RS2018-1297

A resolution appropriating funds from the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Parks and Recreation Department, to Creative Parks Nashville to provide Big Band Dances in Centennial Park at no cost to the public.

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Arts Commission, has awarded a grant in an amount not to exceed $3,350.00 to Creative Parks Nashville to provide Big Band Dances in Centennial Park at no cost to the public; and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Parks and Recreation Department has recommended the award of $3,350.00 to Creative Parks Nashville to provide Big Band Dances in Centennial Park at no cost to the public; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the award of these funds to Creative Parks Nashville be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the award of an amount not to exceed $3,350.00, from the budget of the Metropolitan Parks and Recreation Department to Creative Parks Nashville, to provide Big Band Dances in Centennial Park at no cost to the public, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That there is hereby appropriated an amount not to exceed $3,350.00, from the budget of the Metropolitan Parks and Recreation Department to Creative Parks Nashville, to provide Big Band Dances in Centennial Park at no cost to the public.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
