Resolution RS2020-449 (as amended)

A resolution approving an intergovernmental agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration, for approval of the Information Sharing Access Agreement.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County wishes to enter into the Information Sharing Access Agreement with the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration to review National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) policy and/or claims information for daily floodplain management, Community Rating System (CRS), hazard mitigation activities and Repetitive Loss Area Analysis (RLAA), which is otherwise protected from public disclosure; and,

WHEREAS, obtaining this information will be beneficial to the Department of Metro Water Services and the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the intergovernmental agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration, for the approval of the Information Sharing Access Agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect upon passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
