Resolution RS2018-1187

A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewer to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Davidson County Soil Conservation District.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewer proposes to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with the Davidson County Soil Conservation District, a subdivision of the Tennessee state government created pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated § 43-14-201 et seq; and,

WHEREAS, it is the intent of the MOU attached hereto, that the Davidson County Soil Conservation District shall be transferred to the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewer; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this MOU be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Memorandum of Understanding by and between the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewer and the Davidson County Soil Conservation District, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
