Resolution RS2019-1801

A resolution approving a participation agreement by and between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, through the Department of Public Works, the City of Ridgetop and the Robertson County Highway Department, for the pavement of Greer Road (Proposal No. 2019M-018AG-001).

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County
(“Metro”), the City of Ridgetop (“Ridgetop”) and the Robertson County Highway Department (“Robertson”) desire to resurface Greer Road that is located in Davidson County, Robertson County and the City of Ridgetop; and,

WHEREAS, Metro and Ridgetop have determined that it is necessary, in the interest of expediency, to contract with Robertson County to perform the Greer Road resurfacing services;
and,

WHEREAS, Robertson has agreed to perform the resurfacing of Greer Road and to seek reimbursement from Metro and Ridgetop; and,

WHEREAS, Metro will pay Robertson an estimated $150,156.99 for the resurfacing of Metro’s portion of Greer Road.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the participation agreement by and between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, through the Department of Public Works, the City of Ridgetop and the Robertson County Highway Department, for the pavement of Greer Road, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. The estimated One Hundred Fifty Thousand, One Hundred Fifty Six Dollars, and Ninety Nine Cents (150,156.99) to be paid by Metro is available in Fund No. 42401018.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation may be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
