Participation in Metro Council Meetings

Due to the expiration of Governor Lee's Executive Order No. 78 on April 28, 2021, the Metro Council is no longer authorized to hold virtual meetings. The Council has discontinued call-in option for public hearing items while meeting in person. All public hearings will take place in person at the Council Meeting. Social distancing and mask-wearing is encouraged at the Council Meetings for those who are not vaccinated, pursuant to Metro Public Health recommendations.

Any member of the public wishing to speak on a public hearing item must attend the meeting in person. The Vice Mayor will announce when a public hearing is set to begin and give instructions for those requesting to speak to line up at the podium.

Once your time begins, state your name, address, and whether you are for or against the bill or resolution. You will have two minutes to speak.

Please remember, you are always welcome to email the Council or call us if you have concerns about a particular matter. Simply go to www.nashville.gov and click on Government and then the Metro Council. You can find a link to the Councilmembers and their contact information.

If you have any questions prior to the meeting about how to participate, please call us at 615-862-6780.
