On exhibit now through November 16th: SEVENTEEN MEN Portraits of Black Civil War Soldiers

Seventeen Men is an exhibition that profiles and honors select members of the 25th USCT, led by Captain William A. Pricket. After spending more than a century in the hands of the Prickett family a pocket sized booklet containing bios and thumbnail portraits was discovered by Shayne Davidson. The booklet is a memento to a beloved officer from the men that nursed him back to health. Davidson used her skills as a genealogist and professional artist to bring these men to life by creating life size portraits.
