Fossil Hunting in Nashville

8/17/2019
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Come join us for a presentation about common fossils which can be found at several fossil hunting sites in the Nashville area that are highlighted in the Tennessee Geological Survey’s Fossil Hunting in Nashville guide. The discussion will focus on what they look like and how the animals that left them behind lived when they were alive, including their lifestyle and eating habits. Examples of how many of these fossils appear in the rocks will be on display, and copies of the fossil hunting guide will also be available.
