Spring 2020 Docent class at the Parthenon

2-1-2020
9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

The Parthenon is looking for outgoing individuals who love art and history to be the exciting link between Greek and Nashville history, American art, and our community. Our Docent training program will provide the tools needed for volunteers to give tours to school groups, adult groups, and individuals. Docents will field questions, facilitate cart programs in museum galleries, give directions, and act as ambassadors for the Parthenon, Centennial Park, and Nashville.

The next Parthenon Docent Training Program will take place in February. Participants will attend three training sessions on February 1, 8, and 15 from 9 AM to 1 PM. If you cannot attend one of the trainings listed, please contact Parthenon Director of Education, Katie Petrole at Katherine.Petrole@Nashville.gov. Additional training sessions will be held throughout the year for temporary exhibits and continuing education on permanent museum content. To apply for the program, go to
