Hermitage Precinct Detectives Working Strong Leads in This Afternoon's Murder of Isaac Thomas Outside Elm Hill Pike Motel



Hermitage Precinct detectives are pursuing strong leads as they work to identify the man responsible for this afternoon’s fatal shooting of Isaac Lamont Thomas, 20, on the ground level of Baymont Inn & Suites, 2350 Elm Hill Pike.

Officers responding to a 2 p.m. 911 call found Thomas, who is last known to have lived on Carroll Street, critically wounded on the sidewalk. He died shortly after arriving at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Witnesses reported that Thomas and the shooter were involved in an argument just before the gunfire. The suspect is described as a black man with dreadlocks in a ponytail who wore a black shirt and white pants.
