Community's Assistance Requested in Identifying 2 Men Involved in Friday Night's Murder at Atrium Way Motel

Hermitage Precinct detectives are asking for the community’s assistance in identifying two men involved in Friday night’s murder of Brian Kuffrey, 42, outside his room at Nashville Airport Inn and Suites on Atrium Way. Officers responded to a shooting call at the motel at 6:36 p.m. Kuffrey, of Nashville, had been critically shot in the chest and was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

The investigation to this point shows that Kuffrey was involved in an argument about an hour before the shooting at a Donelson Pike drug store. It is believed that two men from the argument came to the motel and shot him. One suspect is believed to have fled in a silver Jeep Cherokee; the other in a red Chrysler PT Cruiser.

Anyone recognizing the suspects through the attached surveillance photos is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
