Detectives Working to Identify Man who Stole Approximately $50,000 Worth of Equipment from Landscape Supply Business
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
North Precinct detectives are working to identify the man who last Wednesday burglarized Nashville Nursery and Landscape Supply, 4225 Ashland City Highway, using a stolen pickup truck to carry off approximately $50,000 worth of equipment.
The pickup was stolen on August 23 from Town and Country Ford in Madison. The suspect broke out the back window. It was recovered Sunday, unoccupied, in the 4400 block of JJ Watson Avenue.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have unknowingly purchased any of the stolen equipment, including a Dingo compact utility loader, to contact police. The Dingo was hauled off on a black utility trailer that the suspect also stole from the business. Other stolen equipment includes a large red air compressor, a Honda trencher, a back pack blower, two pressure washers, several cordless tools, a pallet jack, and a battery charger.
The burglar is a white man with short hair who appears to be in his 20s or early 30s. Anyone who recognizes him from the attached surveillance video or who may have seen the stolen pickup truck prior to its recovery, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
