Black Jeep Grand Cherokee Sought in Connection with South Nashville Murder



South Precinct detectives are working to develop information on the black Jeep Grand Cherokee from which the gunshot was fired that killed Demarcus Thompson, 30, at 4 p.m. Tuesday in a parking lot at Nolensville Pike and Ocala Drive.

Thompson, of Smyrna, and the driver of the Grand Cherokee both pulled their vehicles into the parking lot. Thompson got out and was shot in the head. The Grand Cherokee fled northbound on Nolensville Pike.

The Grand Cherokee has a temp tag and damage to the driver’s side front. Anyone with information about the vehicle or its driver is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
