Detectives Working to Identify Two Potential Witnesses to Saturday's Fatal Shooting of Zedric Douglas



Hermitage Precinct detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two men who may have witnessed Saturday’s 12:30 a.m. fatal shooting that claimed the life of Zedric Douglas, 43, and critically injured Stanley Wyatt Jr., 53, on Maury Street near Cannon Street.

Responding officers found Douglas and Wyatt both lying near Douglas’ Dodge Charger which was parked and running on Maury Street with lights activated and flashing. Both men were transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where Douglas died and Wyatt remains in critical condition. A handgun was recovered near the driver side of the Charger.

Three vehicles, a white car, a silver car and a grey Dodge Charger (not the victim’s car) left the area after the murder.
