June 13, 2013
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Two California men traveling to Bonnaroo now find themselves in the Metro jail facing a slew of felony drug charges.
Central Precinct Officer Carlos Angulo was flagged down at 12:30 a.m. Thursday by an employee at the Holiday Inn at 920 Broadway regarding two men she reported were smoking marijuana, making a commotion, and refusing to leave their room after it was requested they do so.
Officers detected a strong odor of marijuana as they approached the room. Jamie O’Kain, 36, of Hermosa Beach, California, answered the door. He admitted that there was a small amount of marijuana in the room and that he would accept those charges against him. O’Kain also gave permission to search the room. Officers recovered ten grams of cocaine, 207.5 grams of marijuana, 49.3 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, 5.5 Adderall pills without a prescription and 22 tramadol pain pills prescribed to a John Dorksy.
O’Kain and Brandon Dorsky, 30, of Los Angeles, are both charged with felony drug possession within 1,000 feet of a drug-free school zone (within 1,000 feet of Hume Fogg Magnet School) and criminal trespassing for refusing to leave the hotel.
Dorsky remains jailed in lieu of $297,000 bond. O’Kain is jailed in lieu of $228,000 bond.
