Detectives Working to Identify Man who Assaulted Two Women

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

South Precinct and Sex Crimes detectives are working to identify the man who early this afternoon assaulted two women, ages 15 and 52, at the Wal-Mart, 5824 Nolensville Pike.
          
The suspect grabbed the teenager in the parking lot and attempted to drag her to a parked car, a dark gray Toyota Solara convertible with a black top.  Her 17-year-old sister saw what was happening and ran to her younger sister’s aid causing the suspect to run to the Solara.  The girls’ father also chased the suspect.  The men struggled before the suspect managed to drive off.  The 52-year-old woman reported that the suspect fondled her inside the store.  
          
The suspect is a black man who is approximately 5’10” tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds.  He wore black shorts and a gray shirt.  The suspect Toyota Solara was reported stolen in Illinois yesterday afternoon when the owner left the car unattended with the keys in the ignition.  The suspect convertible bears an Illinois license plate number R762500.
