How's Nashville Campaign Sets Goal to House 200 People in 100 Days

More than 200 people pledged their support to help house 200 people in 100 days, a goal that the Metropolitan Homelessness Commission along with its How's Nashville community partners announced at a public briefing in the Downtown Library on Tuesday, June 4.

Will Connelly, director of the Metropolitan Homelessness Commission, said the goal to house 200 of the most vulnerable, chronically homeless people by mid-September was ambitious but achievable.

"Our focus will be on the next 100 days and what we, as a city, can do to move the most vulnerable of our neighbors into permanent supportive housing pretty quickly."

The How's Nashville campaign raised $35,000 at the event, which will cover move-in costs for 35 individuals including rent and utility deposits, basic furniture, and household items.
