Metro Public Works to hold public meeting on proposed Division Street Extension project this Wednesday


NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 2 to discuss the proposed Division Street Extension project. The project would extend Division Street by constructing a bridge across the railroad and providing a complete street from 8th Avenue South on the west side of the railroad to 2nd Avenue South on the east side.

The proposed improvements generally follow existing Division Street from8th Avenue South o the railroad and Ash Street from Ewing Avenue to 2nd Avenue South.  The project purpose is to improve access for vehicular traffic, includes a multiuse path to accommodate pedestrians and bicyclists, and manages stormwater with bioswales and landscaping elements.

WHAT: Public meeting to discuss proposed corridor for the Division Street Extension from 8th Avenue South to 2nd Avenue South.

Meeting will include a presentation of the proposed project followed by a question and answer session.The public is invited to review the displays anytime within the scheduled two hours.  Project team representatives will be present to answer questions on different aspects of the project.
