November 20, 2013

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

South Precinct detectives have identified 20-year-old Daron Maurice Garrett as the hooded gunman responsible for Sunday night’s robbery of the McDonalds restaurant at 4041 Nolensville Pike.

Garrett is named in an aggravated robbery warrant which alleges that he entered the business at 10 p.m. Sunday, demanded cash at gunpoint and then fled on foot after receiving money (see surveillance photos in a November 18 media release).

Garrett was arrested in June 2011 for aggravated burglary, for which he received a three-year sentence.  He was also convicted of a reduced misdemeanor marijuana charge in March of this year.

The police department considers Garrett to be armed.  He is last known to have lived in the 200 block of Stewarts Ferry Pike.  Anyone seeing Garrett or knowing his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.  Citizens can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES) or online at www.nashvillecrimestoppers.com.  Persons who contact Crime Stoppers by phone, text or Internet can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
