Serial Car Burglar Carlos Johnson Sought

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

West Precinct detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating convicted auto burglar Carlos Johnson, 28, who is wanted on multiple outstanding warrants related to the following vehicle break-ins that occurred while the victims were visiting area parks, school practice fields or greenways:

  • November 11th at 51st Avenue North at Wyoming Avenue
  • August 4th and August 5th at Percy Warner Park
  • July 13th at Newsom Mills Park
  • July 11th at 4700 Franklin Pike
  • May 24th at Shelby Park
In each of the burglaries the window was broken out and purses left inside the vehicles were taken along with a variety of other items, including electronics.  
          
Johnson is suspected in additional vehicle break-ins.  Currently he is being sought on outstanding warrants charging multiple counts of auto burglary, theft of property, fraudulent use of a credit card, forgery and identity theft.  Johnson also has previous convictions for forgery and fraudulent use of a credit card.
