Man Fatally Shot Tuesday Morning Inside 12th Avenue South Apartment

The man fatally shot late Tuesday morning inside an apartment in the Edgehill public housing community is identified as Isaac Morris, 28.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect came to see Morris at his residence in the 1300 block of 12th Avenue South. The two men went upstairs. A short time later gunshots were heard and the suspect fled on foot carrying a black bag believed to have been taken from Morris’ upstairs room. Morris was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died just after arrival.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s. At the time of the shooting he wore a pink collared shirt and blue jeans.
