Mayor to Hold 3 p.m. Briefing on Winter Weather


Winter storm expected to bring ice, snow; Emergency Operations Center to activate at 4 p.m.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Mayor Karl Dean will address the media 3 p.m. today at the Emergency Operations Center, 2060 15th Ave. S., to discuss the approaching winter storm, the activation of the Emergency Operations Center and Metro’s preparations. He will be joined by other Metro officials.

Forecasters are predicting up to 1/10 inch of ice and 2-4 inches of snow over the next 24 hours, beginning sometime this afternoon or evening.
