Public Works Pilots New Paving Technique for Nashville Streets

New Paving Technique for Nashville's streets - Scrub Seal

Last week on Brick Church Pike we piloted a new paving process called scrub seal. This is where we brush sealer into the cracks of the roads. The objective is to prevent reflective cracking from the old surface to the new surface. It is less expensive than reconstruction of old streets as milling and binding is not needed and works well on long stretches of road in need of resurfacing.
