FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Central Precinct detectives are pursuing very strong leads as they work to arrest the shooter who wounded four persons at the Music City Central MTA bus station Monday afternoon.
The investigation shows that Javious Chatman, 18, who received a gunshot wound to the midsection, was the intended target. He is in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Three other victims, Nathaniel Webb & Jonathan Stoner, both 16, and Jalen Jeffries, 17, received minor wounds from stray rounds. They were treated and released from Vanderbilt Monday evening.
Two 17-year-olds, who were detained Monday outside the John Sevier State Office Building near a discarded pistol, were interviewed in detail at the Central Precinct and released Monday night. Both denied any connection to the firearm.
